Bulletproof helmets are more than just protection against shrapnel; they are a soldier's lifeline on the battlefield. Don't be fooled by the so-called "decapitation theory." Bulletproof helmets genuinely improve soldiers' survival rates, giving them a second chance at life.
First, modern bulletproof helmets use PE ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene fiber or aramid fiber. These two materials are not traditional steel. They primarily protect the head by absorbing energy, rather than through direct impact. Imagine, even a direct hit from a pistol bullet will only leave a small dent in the helmet, not penetrate it completely.
Furthermore, modern bulletproof helmets are equipped with a suspension system, which plays a crucial role. It not only absorbs more impact force but also reduces the pressure the helmet puts on the soldier's head. This allows soldiers greater flexibility and safety on the battlefield.
To verify the effectiveness of the bulletproof helmet, testers conducted a five-shot test, firing 9mm pistol bullets from five directions-front, back, left, right, and top-at a distance of 5 meters. The results? All five shots only penetrated the helmet, leaving very small dents. This performance is sufficient to demonstrate the powerful protective capabilities of the bulletproof helmet.
